I remember sitting on the edge of the shore meditating to the sound of waves.
In and out
In and out
In and out
I told myself to listen deeply and capture the chirping seagulls, the rhythm of the ocean, the chatter of people, the car engines passing through.
I told myself to visualize the gray overcast, the beige sand, the deep blue Atlantic water, with my eyes closed
I told myself to stay here. I could come back here. Despite my location, or the passage of time, if I just close my eyes and fall inside, I’ll transport back to this moment.
And so, I felt the wind brush against my face and the little raindrops kiss my skin.
And so, I smelled the salty water and the freshness of the air.
I lost myself to this moment. And this moment lost with me.
In and out
In and out
