Each Of Us Wears a Mask
Every culture has a mask, from Venetian Carnival masks, to Junkanoo masks, to Festima masks, to Oni masks. As unique as they are from each other, in the shape of the head and the eyes, to the coloring and decorations, to even the practices in which they are used, the fact remains--all these cultures use masks to transform into something other than themselves.
Humans are tethered to the same laws of creation. We are meant to transform, we are meant to create, we are meant to explore what it is to be alive, as if that is our purpose in this universe. Thus, in the essence of our differentness, it becomes the sole reason as to what makes us all the more similar. Our destiny is to express the very complicated nature of life here on earth.
